Alex

"Joining the cafe has been the best thing I have ever done. Without the Recovery Cafe, I’d never gotten the help to stay clean off meth. I got my HUD, got help to get my driver's license, and was able to take a recovery class to become a recovery coach. I’m really glad we have the Recovery Cafe in our town."

Nate

Growing up in California's streets, I was in gangs. Despite my attempts to change, I struggled with old habits, which eventually led me to military service and later back to the streets. After hitting rock bottom, I got help at a rehab center in Vancouver, WA. With support from my case manager, I completed the program and was recommended the Café for community and support. Now, I contribute to the Café, and I value the Café's community and find support in our weekly circles.

Recovery Cafe

"Carolyn came to the cafe because she was struggling with isolation and not sure how to talk and interact with people and since she has been a member of Recovery Cafe, she has become a floor companion, serves lunches with other volunteers, and requests to help table at community events so she can tell people about the cafe and all that it has to offer the community."
