Pop-up Café Support Specialist
Recovery Café of Clark County (RCCC) is looking for someone to join our team as a Pop-Up Recovery Coach. RCCC is a non-profit and part of a national network of similar Cafés serving men and women who have suffered trauma, homelessness, addiction and/or other mental health challenges. In a Café setting of "Radical Hospitality” members experience belonging, healing, and the joy of contributing to a nurturing community that specifically acknowledges addiction and mental health challenges.
About this Role
This position is responsible for preparing Pop-up Cafes before opening and closing as well as greeting, serving and supporting members throughout the duration of the Pop-up Café. The person in this position will also be operating Agency (Café member database) to check-in and record daily totals. Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities

Greeting and welcoming members, supporting members throughout the day, directing them to other staff when needed.

Preparing meals and coffee for members.

Conducting daily café announcements throughout the week when needed.

Check-in all members at front desk when they enter building into the Café member database (Agency).

Maintain the visitor log, assuring that all non-members that enter the Café have been recorded.

Check-out each member as they leave the Café again while maintaining a positive and professional manner.

Stocking and maintaining café supplies.

General clean-up of Pop-up Café area, including locking up when leaving.

Collaborate with team and notify supervisor of any issues occurring in café area or between members.

Maintain awareness and always promote a safe working environment.

Assist with the various Recovery Café daily activities and always work to promote the Café model as well as the message and services of RCCC.
Qualifications
-
Experience volunteering or working around individuals in recovery.

Good communication skills and ability to collaborate well with team members.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Organizational skills with attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to prioritize.

Other desirable attributes for this role include self-awareness, the ability to take direction, working well within a team and one-on-one, and a passion for working around community members and individuals within recovery.
