Janitorial Technician
Recovery Café of Clark County (RCCC) is looking for someone to join our team as a Janitorial Technician.
RCCC is a non-profit with a mission to support recovery by empowering people through an ever-growing community of resources, real-time encouragement, and loving, compassion-driven accountability.
About this Role
This position is responsible for general cleaning, upkeep, and routine maintenance and repairs of RCCC facilities and grounds. Providing these services both effectively and efficiently is essential for maintaining a safe, healthy, and clean environment for members, staff, and community visitors.
Responsibilities

Performing routine cleaning of offices, meeting rooms, and general area; including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, carrying out deep cleaning tasks, etc.

Monitor restrooms, clean, and refill toilet paper, paper towels, and soap dispensers as needed.

Stocking and maintaining supply rooms.

Notify management of need for repairs and deficiencies.

Collaborate with team to carry out repairs, special projects, and needed adjustments.

Maintain awareness and always promote a safe working environment.

Assist with the various Recovery Café daily activities and always work to promote the message and services of RCCC.
Qualifications

Knowledge of standard cleaning practices as well as some construction-related skills including; painting, patching, operating equipment, installing flooring, and restoring/repairing other structural needs.

Excellent written and oral communication skills to discuss maintenance issues and planning.

Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move, and handle equipment.

Must be able to lift 50lbs and above.

Stamina to deal with long hours, standing/walking for periods of time and ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions when needed.

Organizational skills with attention to detail, time management skills and ability to prioritize.

Other desirable attributes for this role include self-awareness, ability to take direction, work well within a team and one-on-one, and a passion for working around community members and individuals within recovery.
