Seeking Support in Recovery? A Recovery Coach Can Help!

Updated: Oct 24, 2023

Are you struggling with recovery? Do you feel alone and unsupported? You're not alone. Many people in recovery find it challenging to navigate their journey and could use a little help. That's where a recovery coach comes in.

What is a Recovery Coach?

As recovery coaches, we meet you where you are at and walk with you during your journey through recovery - whatever that may look like for you. We're here to support you, assist you in setting and achieving goals, connect you to resources, and celebrate your victories. Recovery is full of ups and downs, so having a supportive coach by your side can make all the difference.

You might be wondering, "Do I need to be a member of the Recovery Cafe to receive coaching services?" The answer is no. Recovery Cafe Membership is not required for coaching services.

Your Recovery Coach's Roles and Responsibilities

A recovery coach plays various roles, all aimed at making your recovery process smoother and more manageable. Here are the four primary goals for your recovery coach:

Motivator and Cheerleader

Your recovery coach is your number one fan! They will encourage you throughout your recovery journey, reminding you of the progress you've made and the strength you've shown. You can always count on them to celebrate your victories and uplift you during the tough times.

Ally and Confidant

Recovery can sometimes feel like a lonely journey, but with a recovery coach, you'll never be alone. Your coach will be there for you, offering a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on. They will be your ally, advocating for your needs and your confidant, maintaining your trust and confidentiality.

Problem Solver and Barrier Remover

Recovery comes with its fair share of challenges and obstacles. Your recovery coach is here to help you navigate these issues. They will work with you to solve problems and remove barriers that may hinder your recovery process.

Resource Broker

As a resource broker, your recovery coach will connect you with recovery support services and other resources that can assist you in your journey. This could include treatment facilities, support groups, educational resources, and more. They also promote recovery, encourage hope, optimism, and healthy living.

Who Can Benefit From a Recovery Coach?

Recovery coaching is free and available to anyone over the age of 18 who is a Clark County resident and has, or has had, substance use challenges. Regardless of where you are in your recovery journey, a recovery coach can provide valuable support and guidance. You do not need to be a member of RCCC to have a recovery coach.
