Board of Directors Member

The Board of Directors supports and sustains the work of RCCC, and provides governance, leadership, and strategic support. RCCC is looking for individuals interested in balancing racial equity and justice in board governance, leadership, and strategic decisions. About this Role

 

The Board of Directors supports and sustains the work of RCCC, and provides governance, leadership, and strategic support. RCCC is looking for individuals interested in balancing racial equity and justice in board governance, leadership, and strategic decisions. Black, Indigenous and People of Color are highly encouraged to apply. RCCC is seeking new board members with experience and interest in at least one of the following areas: legal, nonprofit finance, fundraising, and recovery dynamics & advocacy.

 

Qualifications

  • Who have the ability to use effective and respectful written and oral communication in all communications

  • Who are committed to and understand the RCCC’s Mission and Program

  • Who are committed to participating in RCCC’s board responsibilities

  • Who can attend substantially all of the monthly 2-hour evening board meetings   (6-8 p.m. every 3rd Monday) either in person or by Zoom

  • Must be able to pass a Washington State Patrol criminal background check.

  • Who are responsive to emails and other communications considering time sensitive projects.

  • Who are available to participate on board committees, projects or tasks

  • Who are experienced and effective collaborators, interested in working with the other board members to make most decisions through a consensus-based approach.

  • Who have personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a passion for improving the lives of RCCC members
